Battlefield 3 action packed video

By now many of you might have heard of EA's next big title, Battlefield 3. Their IP is the most direct rival to the Call of Duty franchise and by the look of it, it's going to step up the rivalry up a notch.

The video released recently shows street gunfire and defusing bombs. Besides this it also shows how the melee combat will work out.

If you stay on it until the end, the video shows a tease of the next video to be released on April 17. Battlefield 3 is scheduled to launch this fall.

Kratos in the upcoming MK game

It has been known for a while that Kratos, the main protagonist of the hit series God of War, would be in the PS3 version of the next Mortal Kombat. Many thought it would fit very well into the MK universe, violent by nature and brutal, Kratos has what it's needed to make a good MK addition.

And so to show the public how great he is, NetherRealm Studios has released a little trailer of what can we expect from Kratos and his god-like abilities.

Sony Ericsson Spain talks about the Xperia Play pricing

After many speculation and rumors, seems like Sony Ericsson Spain has come forward and clarify the whole situation around the pricing of the Xperia Play. The phone will be €649 off contract and unlocked(which would be something like $907) and it will be avaliable starting April 1st. It matches pretty well with what other European locales have been saying. In Spain Vodafone will have a 15-day exclusive on the white model, other carriers getting the regular black version.

Its obivious that $900 is quite a bit too much for a phone, but nothing on the US retail picture has indicated an actual price yet, so we'll just have to wait for further news.

Hilarious Prototype 2 video

In a different yet original way to show the visual of Prototype 2, lightning and the city's detail, Radical(the developers of the game) released a video where James Heller throws a poor guy from a rooftop and making him fly across what seems to be a block, all this in slow motion and with a very fitting music. Watch it bellow.

Prototype 2 is set to release next year.

Android market is surprisingly more profitable

The Android platform has become the most prolific smartphone platform in the US, overtaking the Blackberry's place. But its not only Blackberry that has been affected by the rapid ascension of the Android platform, seems like Apple is somewhat affected too. Spacetime Studios, the creators of the mobile MMO Pocket Legends

, which brings revenue from in-game items, found out that they are making roughly 40 percent more from the Android users than the iOS ones. Not only that but they play more and download the app with greater frequency.

In any case this shows that the mobile app markets are still growing, maturing and needing stabilization.

Xbox successor?

Microsoft has posted a job notice on their website seeking a hardware engineer for its Interactive Entertainment Business division. The post indicates that Microsoft is looking for a "a graphics hardware architect" for the Xbox Console Architecture group, its claiming is "responsible for defining and delivering next-gen console architectures from conception through implementation."

Microsoft states in the job posting that it's looking for someone who has a "solid understand of graphics hardware implementation, including design methodologies and production yield and cost analysis." It also wants someone who has experience taking "designs from investigation to end-customer shipment during their career."
